We're just waiting for football season to get started and for The Great New York State Fair Labor Day weekend.
My mother is going to come up to visit the 2nd weekend in September.
Sarah's mom has been here since Jackson was born, but went home to Florida yesterday. Tomorrow Sarah will be at home with Jackson by herself all day every day. It is going to be different.
Jon David starts his 2nd year at Auburn tomorrow. It sounds like he's already done more partying there than Josh and I did combined. As long as he keeps getting good grades - that's what I keep telling my self anyway.
Ed and Jeanette are nearing the end of their epic journey, and may (hopefully) make 1 last stop here in Philly at the end of this week before finally returning to Long Island....yeah!!!
As you can see (--------->>), I've started a travel map for Jackon. He hasn't made it to too many places, yet, but that will soon change. He'll be going to (Syracuse) New York for The Great New York State Fair, and then (Cleveland) Ohio for my vertebrate paleontology conference in October. We'll get to see Sarah's brother Andrew and his family, Hazel and Isabela, while we're there. That will be the 1st time Jackson gets to meet one of his cousins, Isabela.
On Friday we went to Sarah's cousin Christi's house for dinner as a farewell to her mom. Here is Christi's oldest daughter, Erin, holding Jackson, with her 2nd oldest, Cori, looking over.

We've had several visitors this past week. Here's just a few:
Here he is hangin' out with his Great Uncle Rich.
Rich wanted us to name him Bascom - no, he's not senile . . .

Here he is with our neighbor and good friend Bob.
Here he is with my friend from work, Nicole, and her husband, Eric. They're going to have a new baby soon too!
Here he is with Grammy Lyn learning to count to 10. He doesn't appear to be paying attention...maybe he's just listening?

Jackson is adorable! I love the last picture of him!! Oh my stars!! JD is starting his SECOND year of college!! Am I really this old?
Thanks, I agree. I know - it is scary. I can't beleive he's at Auburn either, I feel like I was there just a couple of years ago.
I think I just threw up a little in my mouth when I read that John David started his second year in COLLEGE! Ummm, I thought he was like in second grade. Jackson is so adorable, and so alert. Enjoy every minute, I know it is cliche. Smith is in Kindergarten, and it seems like yesterday my water broke. David was crying like a baby after we dropped her off today, I told him, "shut up you sappy suzy!" I think I married a girl.
Love,
MH
