Jackson is doing very well, and so is his mom. He's gotten the hang of breast feeding and is really chowing down. Before, we couldn't even keep him awake long enough to open his mouth. 1 problem - I keep calling him "puppy", the way I call Lincoln "puppy". Sarah rested this afternoon finally, after only sleeping for about 1/2 hour last night, and is enjoying spending time with puppy - I mean Jackson.
As some of you may know, Sarah and I had long settled on a girl's name, but battled on a boy's name. I had the name Jackson Gregory for years, and at first she liked it, but waivered around month 3, then she said she wouldn't consider it if I didn't come up with alternates. So, I thought I wouldn't bring it back up until she was good and drugged up at the hospital, when I could sneak-attack her. Well, it worked. Actually, Sarah now admits that there have been lots of "signs" lately. When she was driving to the doctor a few days ago, she was behind a truck with "Jackson" written on it. Also, she's been looking at maps of places we've been out west for inspiration. As it turns out, there is a Jackson-something nearly everywhere we've been. She really loves the name - she just likes to be a pain in the rear sometimes.
