JD's Visit (with Cailin)

Jon David and his girlfriend Cailin came up for a visit last Friday. We had a great time, but it went by too fast. Friday night we went for cheesesteaks at the famous places downtown in the Italian section. We went to Pat's 1st, but were disappointed. The cheesesteaks were rather dry and tasteless. Then, we went across the street to Geno's so JD and I could compare. It wasn't a fair comparison because we got slightly different sandwiches - these had cheese whiz instead of provolone, but these were much better. Still not as good as Lil' Johns by the Academy.

Saturday we went back into the city. We dropped them off downtown to explore, because I needed to go to a picnic at my adviser's house in South Jersey to celebrate the arrival of the dino bones. It was a fun time - I rarely get to see my Philly paleo friends anymore since I'm in Trenton. After the picnic we went back into town to pick them up, then went home and had some late night pizza. They had a great time in Philly and saw a lot of stuff.

On Sunday, we just hung around the house until they left in the early afternoon - they went to visit a friend in NYC.
